A year ago I lost my father, and H. Morris Funeral Services supported my family and me with a level of compassion and humanity I will never forget. From the very first moment, they were gentle, patient, and deeply respectful. They treated my father with the utmost dignity as if he were still alive and watching. They handled every detail with care, reverence, and sincerity. We had to transport my father home and although my dad was their first guest (as they referred to him), from Sierra Leone, West African, Dean Maxted led the way to ensure my father made his way home to Sierra Leone from home (NZ) safe and sound, several international calls, emails and text messages later. During one of the hardest times of my life, they made me feel seen, heard, and supported. Their kindness was not rushed or forced; it was genuine. Every interaction showed professionalism, empathy, and deep respect for both the departed and the grieving family. I will forever be grateful for the way they honored my father and carried us through such a painful moment with grace and compassion. I cannot recommend them highly enough. If I could do six stars I would. My wife Ruby was looked after by Gareth White, who handled everything from end to end. The day following her passing, he came over to the residential facility where she had lived and arranged for her to moved to the funeral home. My son and I went there at midday and within 2 hours everything had been sorted for a service the following Friday. And the day of the service went off flawlessly. The service card and photo tribute they created was not only highly professional, it was beautiful. That was the feedback from those who attended. I was so impressed by the very empathic treatment our family received. By greatest thanks to Gareth and the team for the wonderful send off we were able to provide to Ruby.

Thank you, Abigail and Debborah, both ladies were easy to talk to, and I found the whole process a lot easier than previous dealings with a funeral home. I have been the celebrant twice with H. Morris families, and if you ever want my service again in this respect, I will feel even more confident I would be working with colleagues. Thank you for easing me into widowhood; the assurance that all will be well was most definitely achieved.

Could not recommend these guys more. After my dear Dads passing we were helped by Debborah. From the second I spoke to her I knew that we were in good hands. From start to finish she made everything possible and with so much care. We really felt so looked after and heard. Nothing was a problem and she shared so many kind words and valuable pieces of advice with us. A genuinely beautiful human. Thank you, Helen. From the moment I called H Morris Funeral Services I knew I was in good hands. I was calling on H Morris for assistance with splitting my father's ashes well after his cremation. Nothing was a problem for Helen; she helped me through what seemed like a tricky situation for myself. After making a visit to their office they had me sorted within 10 minutes.
