At Resthaven Funeral Home Manurewa, my family was met with compassion like cool shade beneath tall forest trees. Rachelle stood as a calm guide beside the riverbank, explaining each step with clarity and grace, so the crossing felt less fearful. Andrew brought thoughtful provisions for the journey, offering choices prepared with care for my father’s needs. Nicole welcomed me with a gentle spirit, her empathy like soft rain upon dry ground, nurturing peace as plans were made in tender haste. And Trish, faithful in the quiet work behind the scenes, gathered every detail with patience, placing my father’s urn in readiness as one would lay a cherished shell upon sacred sand. Sixty-four years my father and mother walked together two lives woven like vines around the same strong tree, weathering storms, rejoicing in sunlight, growing a legacy of love that still breathes among you. Now his journey is complete. The toil of earth has fallen away, and he rests where the river of life runs clear, where sorrow cannot follow, and where the faithful are gathered home. For the Lord has promised: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside still waters, He restores my soul.” Psalm 23:1–3 May you feel those still waters in your hearts, and may gratitude rise like morning birdsong for all at Resthaven who walked this sacred valley with you. My father, Fitifiti, rests now in God’s gentle keeping held in eternal light, at peace, and forever loved. I will like to thank Nicole and Trish for taking care of my father Fitifiti , and looking after our family.
