David and his team carried out a heartfelt act of kindness for Dad, showing great compassion and dignity to our family, especially Dad, even under the challenging circumstances of the Christmas and New Year's holidays. Despite the tight timing, your team came through for us. You went above and beyond—preparing Dad for his journey back to Taranaki, organizing last-minute flowers, and placing a grave marker at 6am on New Year’s Day while most people were still recovering from the festivities. During one of the most difficult times in our lives, the team at Morris and Morris provided an exceptional level of care, compassion, and professionalism. He treated our family member with dignity and respect at every stage, and his gentle guidance helped ease the stress of the arrangements. Aaron went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled with care and attention to detail. His presence was reassuring, and it was clear that he genuinely cared. When my father passed away in November, my whānau had the great privilege of having Aaron Gray as our Funeral Director. Aaron met us at the North Haven Hospice and quickly put us at ease with his knowledge and expertise at a time where our minds were scattered and our emotions were fragile. No questions were silly questions and Aaron took time to explain all the details and finer points of the process from Dad leaving hospice until his memorial. Our family is quite unique, our sense of humour can be strange/dark at times, Aaron didn’t take long to get a handle on how we operate as a family and managed us well. Yes I said managed because at times he needed to! Our family really clicked with Aaron and we could not recommend him highly enough. Aaron has meticulous attention to detail, highly intuitive with his empathy and sometimes was a couple of steps ahead of what was happening. He was extremely professional and a great ambassador for what Morris & Morris provide.

We are so fortunate that Morris and Morris arranged our mothers funeral today. Lorraine was excellent in overall organisation as was Jo Boston our Celebrant brilliant at the service. We felt they listened to us as we tried to sum up what we wanted when really we had no idea at the start. Lorraine was patient as we talked far too much in our stressed state trying to get it right. Jo also chatted and listened kindly as we tried to convey who our mother was. The service totally captured the essence of our mum and what we wanted to express. You were both a godsend. Jo we feel so much gratitude and everyone there felt we could not have done better for mum. We settle back now knowing we did our best. Outstanding company, staff and premises, we cannot thank you enough in this difficult time.

Our family planned a funeral through Morris and Morris, and we found Cindy very kind, professional and attentive to our needs. She did everything she could to make our day special, while on a tight budget. Thank you Cindy and the team at Morris and Morris.
