Gee & Hickton (Upper Hutt)

Gee and Hickton are amazing! They were incredibly helpful and supportive during our grieving process. With so much going on for the family when trying to plan a funeral, the task seemed daunting! Bel is a beautiful soul who made the whole process as stress-free as she possibly could. She was lovely and made me feel like we were in the best possible hands and i couldn't be more thankful. Furthermore, 6 months down the track they sent me a beautiful tree to plant in memory of my lost one. That extra care and thought is appreciated more than my words can express - thank you

Gavin and the team at Gee and Hickton are compassionate, professional and nothing was any bother. Incredibly good at taking care of us all in our loss and ensuring that Colin was taken care of respectfully. Mac and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. It's a rough time losing a family member, however, made easier by the Gee & Hickton team.

Gee & Hickton provided high quality service, nothing was too much. They showed genuine care, consideration and understanding. The embalming was truly beautiful. Thank you so much for making a stressful situation into a beautiful situation. I would highly recommend, this team as they understood Te Ao Māori and know what manaaki is.

Disgraceful conduct is a polite term. Our loved one was collected by these people from an aged care facility on passing although alternative arrangements had been made with another funeral director (admittedly not their mistake). On calling Gee & Hickton, an extremely rude woman told me that my family member could not be collected from their facility until the next morning and would not be released without the consent of the person who had employed their services. This person was not a legal partner, family member or next of kin and our family were not consulted prior to collection. The nasty woman was horrible and her main priority was asking me who would pay her $500 bill for collecting my family member. She had no compassion or tact at all. The experience we had to endure with these people was traumatic on top of losing a loved one. I am so glad I could have him released from these horrible people and into the hands of a caring funeral home.
