It has been 18 months now since my four older brothers and I lost our precious taonga, our Mum. (1st photo is us with our Mum, 2nd and 3rd photos are Mum at Harbour City - even the planning process was, while sad and confronting, a time of laughter and comfort. This was due to the amazing knowledge and care we experienced by everyone we encountered at Harbour City). When our Mum passed, our whānau had the amazing support of Ruth, and I can not express with enough words how much professionalism, warmth, care, respect, humility, capability and amazing (and appropriate) humour she brought to our experience. I’m not exaggerating when I say that the pain of our loss was reduced quite significantly because we had a support that was both capable, guiding, and strong alongside being very respectful, gentle, and attuned. There are so many details and examples I could give around how Ruth supported us as a family, but all I really want to say is that we are so grateful. We couldn’t have asked for a better person for this difficult time. It’s taken me a while to get to writing this, but it feels so important to share this. My brothers and I still talk about Ruth and the impact she made. She is a true asset to this very special mahi. I can't say enough about the care and consideration from this team. Ruth in particular was amazing, nothing was too much of a hassle and she answered all our questions with ease and patience, she obviously cares about her clients and I can't recommend her highly enough. Also knowing ahead of time how much the funeral would cost (approximately) helped us to budget and plan and also took some of the stress away. This team and venue are amazing and in my opinion went the extra mile for our family

Ruth was beyond amazing , always went that extra mile. She supported our family through the hardest time in out lives , saying goodbye to our dear mum. I will never be able to thank her enough. She met with mum before she passed and made sure all mums wishes were carried out not missing a single detail. Forever will appreciate her ❤️
